Iowa Governor visits the Startup Nation: What a Way to Launch welaunch!

welaunch is off to an amazing start after this past week as Iowa wrapped up a trade mission to the Startup Nation (Israel) led by Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and Debi Durham and the Iowa Economic Economic Development Authority.  In addition to business development, Iowa and the governor also came to participate in, and speak at, Watech (Israel’s leading water technology conference).

Governor Reynolds was accompanied by a robust and amazing delegation from across Iowa – one of whom was welaunch’s very own, Don Schoen (welaunch co-founder and COO).

The trip was an overwhelming success, both in re-affirming Iowa and Israel ties and exploring new business development opportunities. In Governor Reynold’s words:

“The goal of the mission is to encourage local Iowa businesses, lawyers, financial advisers, brokers and investment bankers to attract partners and potential cooperative agreements to enhance the economy, academic research and job growth. Together, Iowa and Israel will strive to create lasting partnerships that are beneficial to both states and stimulate their economies.”

It was inspiring, promising and impactful and welaunch looks forward to playing a role in fostering this dialogue and facilitating these opportunities.

Thank you to Governor Reynolds and the Iowa delegation for your vision, leadership and passion. It is inspiring!
