Israeli Ag-tech: A Powerhouse Born Out of Necessity
“Let me tell you something that we Israelis have against Moses. He took us 40 years through the desert in order to bring us to the one spot in the Middle East that has no oil!” -Golda Meir
Golda was right, Israel has no oil and very little by way of natural resources. However, necessity is indeed the mother of invention and Israelis, facing so many natural (and man-made-rough-neighborhood) challenges needs to invent it’s own solutions.
That’s what Israeli’s do.
And nowhere is this more experienced than around agricultural, food and water related areas. There is not enough of any of these within Israel, at least not naturally occurring. And yet, Israel is the leading the way in all of these, creating abundance, surplus and food/water/energy independence. This is happening, in no small measure, due to technology.
Water-tech, Food-tech, Ag-tech, this is the salvation of Israel and Israeli technology and innovation will quite literally save the world.
Stay tuned for more on ag-tech, food-tech and clean-tech, as welaunch is focused on helping to bring these Israeli technologies to the world in general, and the US Midwest in particular.
